GET TO KNOW A LITTLE BIT MORE ABOUT
Kell Norris
What is Kell's approach to
COUNSELLING?
Kell is a bachelor-qualified registered counsellor with extensive experience working with grief and loss, crisis trauma, and addiction. She has a warm, person-centred, strength-based approach and creates a nonjudgmental atmosphere, making her clients feel at ease in her space. Her clients have described her as direct, caring and non-nonsense in the past and have found her incredibly instrumental in the process of shaping and transforming their lives. She has a special interest and focus on the aftermath of recovery from coercive control narcissistic relationships
Kell understands that it’s the genuine authenticity of the counsellor and the quality of the counsellor-therapeutic alliance that determines the outcome for the client. Not just the therapeutic modalities and interventions.

Kell started out in the 'rag trade' as she calls it, working in the fashion industry before finding her true calling in counselling. She has always loved caring for people, so it was a natural progression for her to study for a bachelor's degree in counselling and begin working in the mental health space. Kell has since worked in a variety of different fields, such as residential programs for domestic violence survivors, suicide crisis support work, the criminal justice system, sexual assault and much more.
