What is Amy's approach to

COUNSELLING?

Amy is a registered counsellor who adopts a person centred approach, placing the client at the heart of the counselling process. Amy’s therapeutic focus is to support her clients to embrace their authentic selves and recognise their strength to overcome life’s challenges. Amy offers a compassionate, warm, and professional service, which promotes evidence based treatments tailored to the needs of each individual.

Amy is committed to ongoing learning and professional development, continually expanding her knowledge to ensure that best practice methodologies are integrated into her service offering.

Amy has been passionate about mental health for many years, studying psychology at university and then a diploma of counselling to become a registered practitioner. As a woman born and raised in regional NSW, she understands the unique challenges faced by rural areas and the need to improve accessibility to mental health services in our local communities. Amy is dedicated to client confidentiality and building trusted relationships with key agencies to support a unified approach to mental health care across the Central West.

  • Bachelor of Arts (Psychology & Sociology)

  • Diploma of Counselling

  • Registered Australian Counselling Association (ACA) Member

  • PEERS Social Skills Training Certified
